Twilight Fair

Please find below important information for the Twilight Fair this Friday, 16th November 2018.

Early Childhood Sports Carnival

The Sports Carnival for students from K-2 will take place on Thursday 1st November on the oval opposite the school in Van Morey Road. The carnival will run from 9:30am until approximately 11:30am, with students competing in a variety of activities. The emphasis will be on participation across all activities and will be supported with a multi-event certificate that students can earn stickers for throughout the day. Parents are encouraged to attend and support their children. Sunscreen will be available but please ensure that where possible you put some on your child before coming to school. Please ensure your child also has a drink bottle filled with water for the event.

2019 Intentions

As you would be aware, considerable thought and planning goes into the configuration of classes. If your child/ren will not be returning to Margate Primary School for any reason in 2019, can you please advise the office as soon as possible to assist with our 2019 class planning. Garden Cafe

The Garden Café would like to announce Sweet and Savoury Muffins will be available for purchase during recess and lunch this Wednesday, 26th September. Muffins will cost $2 each.

Muffins Selections include:

 Apple and Sultana

Banana and Choc Chip

Ham, Cheese and Herb

Cheese and Herb


*Egg free and gluten free options will be available.

Grade 3-5 Swimming

Grade 3-5 Swimming

A reminder that all Grade 3-5 students begin the Swimming and Water Safety Program on Monday. This program runs every day for the next 2 weeks.

Please ensure that your child brings swimming gear (including bathers and swimming cap-these will be available at the pool at no cost if they don't already have one), a towel, and plastic bag to put wet clothes in.

Crazy Hat Day


A reminder that the SRC are holding a "Crazy Hat Day" Fundraiser for Colony 47 tomorrow, Friday 10th of August.

To participate in the fundraiser, wear a crazy hat of your choice and bring an item to donate that a homeless person might want or need like a toothbrush, blanket, pillow or a small present like a notepad or pencil.

Tea Towel orders


Tea towel orders have now been extended to this Wednesday, 8th August.

Order forms are available on the Margate Primary School P & F Facebook page or at the office. Please support the P & F by purchasing a tea towel (or more!). These tea towels are a great keepsake of your child/ren's time at Margate Primary, and make great Christmas presents!
